This place is so good. With a little more attention, it could be exceptional! Location and facilities are amazing. You have about 6 miles of single track road to get there, but once you are it is so worth it. We stayed in the hotel and the room was stunning inside and lots of extras. The view from the room was to die for. Food was amazing, it is top quality ingredients being used and that is obvious. The not so good and what stops this being a 5 star review. Customer service - It is not there. When we arrived, there were a lot of families booking in, but there was only one person booking everyone in. He also did not know all the right times for checking out. It meant people were standing in a queue for so long. There were a lot of staff going about, but they were ignoring the guests and the queues. When we were in the restaurant, the staff would never look at you for fear of being asked to help. Heads were down and no eye contact made. It was so difficult to get their attention to get a drink, we ended up getting up ourselves and went to the bar and got two drinks! Communication is the other low point. The best example is that there are adverts over the complex about Afternoon Tea. We decided on the Saturday morning at breakfast that we would book it for the afternoon. We were then told you had to give them a minimum of 24 hours notice. That is detailed nowhere. If they had that on the signs, we could have booked in advance. This just seemed really poor. No real apology or attempt to appease us either which was a shame. We did have a really good time and as I said it is an amazing place. Up the comms and the customer service and it will be phenomenal!

Breathtaking views. No reception at night. So 30 mins+ to check in. TV didn't turn on; no one available to look at it. I was given fresh remote batteries which thankfully sorted the issue. Nice restaurant, good options for breakfast. Quality is nothing special. Staff were ok, but seemed overworked or not interested, so did only what's absolutely necessary, almost never smiled. Window/door in my ground floor room don't tilt so had to risk keeping it open all night or sleep in the heat. Water on premises is slightly brown. They explain it clearly and it's safe to drink. As a chemist I believe them. Still you're drinking and brushing your teeth with slightly brown water!

Fantastic remote getaway holiday park. The hotel is bang up to date and a fresh modern space. The landscape is breathtaking and there are lots of outdoor activities for the adventurous. The staff were all very helpful.

Came here for the restaurant. Service wasn't great and felt like staff were hiding from you. Food could have been better for the price. View from the restaurant was great though.

“A hidden gem of a hotel with first-rate facilities. With spectacular views over Loch Goil and great Scottish scenery from your lovely bedrooms, it's so much more than a place to rest your head.” …. Taken from the first lines on the website, and you couldn’t be more right! Drimsynie Hotel is a stunning hotel nestled in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, overlooking the picturesque Loch Goil. It offers a blend of modern comforts and traditional Scottish hospitality, making it the perfect destination for a relaxing getaway or an adventurous escape. The Hotel boasts a variety of stylish and contemporary bedrooms, each designed to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay, with a range of room types, including double rooms, family rooms, and accessible rooms, all equipped with modern en-suite bathrooms, LCD TVs, and fast Wi-Fi. ( however, you go here to get away from it all, so fast Wi-Fi is only for the workaholics amongst us 😁😵‍💫) The hotel also has a fabulous leisure complex. With the sparkling indoor pool, and then pamper yourself with a revitalising treatment at the Sequoia Spa or sweat it out in the well-equipped gym. Personally, the gym was the last thing on my mind. You could, if you wanted, but we didn’t want to ( lol ) go on a variety of activities both on and off the hotel grounds. Explore the surrounding countryside on foot or by bike, take to the waters of Loch Goil for a spot of fishing or kayaking, or have a go yourself, with round of golf on the hotel's own 9-hole course. Notwithstanding, all the facilities and activities aside, with its and selection of dining options. Have a delicious meal at the View Bar and Restaurant, which has panoramic views of Loch Goil, or grab a quick bite at the Goil Inn, a lively pub that had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the hotel is ideally placed, the food was absolutely delicious, ….. I could go on, but enough to say, …. We’ll be back ….. soon. Pictures …. Tooo busy doing nothing and enjoying myself to get the camera out …. Sorry.

Had an amazing experience at Drimsynie, the lodge was large, spacious and clean. The downside was the number for reception never answered so didn’t have any WIFI all week and no information pack provided. The water is brown it takes a small while to get used to but this is due to the peat and lack of vegetation. Wonderful place to escape the busy world and it’s dog friendly.
